Liz and Kevin

This weekend wrapped up wedding season for me! The final bride and groom were Liz and Kevin and it was a beautiful wedding.

Liz is a friend from college who I adore and who has the most contagious laugh ever. I don't see her nearly enough as I'd like to, but I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of her big day. It's always great just to see other friends you haven't seen in a while too.

Joshua & Kara

Two weekends in a row of weddings. This weekend it was Joshua and Kara. I've known Joshua since at least junior high so it was it good time with all the high school friends at the wedding. And Kara is the sweetest, most creative person ever. Seriously, the most well put together wedding I have ever been to. Everything was perfect and nothing was forgotten. Also probably one of the best meals I've ever eaten at a wedding.

Center pieces were simple, but gorgeous. And each table was different.

You can never go wrong with cupcakes. And these were delicious!

Glass bottle coke and fresh lemonade. Doesn't get much better.

I love this picture of us. I loved this moment even more.

Make your own bouquet to-go! Such a great idea!! Because what else will happen with the flowers?

The bouquet I made :)

Coffee!

Another great idea! We signed the guestbook by typing a note on an old typewriter and then putting it in a scrapbook. So clever.

The happy couple <3

They Trolley Barn is a GREAT location in Atlanta. Loved it!

Congratulations Joshua and Kara! What a beautiful wedding it was.

Tiffani & Tyler

September 10, 2011 was a very popular day to tie the knot. I get it, 9-10-11. Boys who got married that day, you made out with an easy anniversary date to remember!!

I've known Tiffani for probably five years now. After going through endless late nights, stressful projects and nerve raking presentations together, you can't help but become friends. It was her and the other two members of the "Lunch Quad" that helped me survive college. And one of my favorite memories together is the Thursday night we went out, crashed at Jennifer's and got up and went to our 8am class hung over and wearing the same clothes from the night before. Priceless.

It was so great to be able to celebrate her wedding day with her. Especially since we don't see each other nearly often enough. Tiffani and Tyler got married at Kent Rock Manor in Loganville. The venue was (actually a house) was absolutely stunning and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day.

It was a beautiful wedding, a beautiful and fun reception and just a great time catching up with everyone.

Tiffani was surprised with a horse and carriage a few minutes before the wedding.

Pretty bride!

Zoey

When I was in first grade, a few days before my 7th birthday, my dad came home one evening and we were all sitting in the living room. He put his briefcase down and walked across the room to sit on the sofa. Two seconds later he asked me to get some books out of the briefcase and bring them to him. Obviously, I huffed and said, "You were JUST there! Why didn't you get them before you sat down?!" He looked at me and said, "Just do what you're told." I'm sure I got up and stomped over as angrily as I could, but as I approached, I noticed that the briefcase moved. I turned back and looked at him and she said, "Today please!" I turned back around and the bag moved again. He kind of laughed and said, "Jamie. Please get the books out of my bag." I think I probably said, "I'm not touching that thing! It's moving!!" And laughed again and again told me to just hurry up with the books. I slowly tiptoed over to the chair and peaked over the zipper of the bag, when I heard a little cry. I peaked a little further and there she was, a black and white fuzz ball with the greenest eyes I had ever seen. I scooped her up and fell instantly in love. Seeing as how she was my cat that I got for my birthday, you'd think I'd get the honor of naming her. But no. My sister and I fought over her name for hours. Being the logical six-year-old that I was, I obviously said her name should be Oreo. Hello? Black and white + oreo. My sister thought it was a terrible idea and wanted Zoey. I don't know how it was finally settled, but Zoey it was.

That was 18 years ago. In a few more months, she would've been 19 years old. It's kind of a miracle that she lived that long considering we live in the city and she was an indoor/outdoor cat. She was the best cat anyone could ask for. She'd come and go as she pleased, never had accidents in the house, would curl up in your arms on her back like a baby and place her paw on your cheek. She'd curl up under your chin at night and even went through a phase where she'd sleep on your head. And she could hold her own against our dogs. If they bothered her too much, she'd smack them and walk away, leaving them dazed and confused.

After 18 years with us, she truly was a part of the family. She was in my life longer than she wasn't. And she'll be greatly missed.

RIP Zoey. Give Chloe a kiss for me when you see her.

Reese Elizabeth Turns One!!

Reese turned 1 on July 13th. A year old. Can you believe that?! I surely can't. The past year has flown by and she has grown so much from that little 5 lb premie who spent the first 18 days of her life in the NICU to being one feisty little girl with the best personality possible. Always smiling, always happy, always catching the attention of every single person she sees in passing. I can't wait to see what the next year brings. What new things she learns. I especially can't wait for the words "Aunt Jamie" to come out of that mouth of hers ;) Saturday we had a blast celebrating with family and friends.

I spent all day Friday and Saturday at my sister's making cookies and cupcakes.

The cookies turned our GREAT! And were super yummy too!

Same goes for the cookies and cream cupcakes!

The goodie table :)

Reese's smash cake!

The birthday girl!!!

There were 12 tables, each one having two pictures from every month of her life. Turned out super cute!!

Time for cake!!

What do I do with this?!
That's about as messy as it got.

As exhausting as it was, we all had such a great time and everything turned our perfectly. And my sister has promised me that next year it will only be a small cookout with family ;)
